CREATING TOGETHER FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE, Toronto.
Creating Together began as a series of short-term projects organized by parents in the Parkdale community and agency workers who were concerned about the lack of resources for preschool children and their families.
In 1976, Creating Together was incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization with a community-based Board of Directors. They began to secure funds to support a program strategy aimed at healthy parent-child interactions and socialization that reduces the risk of isolation.
present location at 1497 Queen Street West in the Parkdale neighbourhood of downtown west end Toronto.
Positive interaction between children and staff create a environment for optimal learning through play and exploration. Sensory Play is such an important aspect of cause and effect, discovery and questioning. Supporting these skills through role modeling and open ended discussions paves a path to developing a love for learning!
Early childhood Educators and Child Care Workers develop a deep and important bond, not only with the children in their care but with families and communities as well!
Here is a beautiful Thank you letter from a family at Creating Together!
